This year Santa frowned as he tugged at his sleigh,
“It rattles, it bucks—this thing’s yesterday.
No comfort, no cover, no room left to stash,
Just bumps, bangs, and gifts in a wobbling mishmash!”
The elves stroked their chins. They’d fix this old ride.
“A retrofit’s due!” said one elf, eyes wide.
They swapped the suspension, tuned smooth and just right,
So landings felt gentle and turns would be tight.
They added a roof that could flip, fold, and slide,
For snow, sleet, or wind on a stormy-skied ride.
They reworked the layout, more cargo, less mess,
So packages stacked with aerodynamic finesse.
Then airbags were added for glide and control,
to soften the bumps from North to South Pole.
But would it work? Would each change be sound?
If there was a problem Santa’d stay on the ground.
Accelerometers were needed with no time to wait,
“Contact SDI before it’s too late!”
SDI replied within minutes that day,
“We have those in stock. They can ship right away!”
On runners and frame, seats, joints, front and rear,
They measured each shake till the data was clear.
They tuned and re-tuned till the graphs all agreed:
This sleigh now performed like the big guy would need.
Santa climbed in, grinned wide with pure joy,
You’d think that the boss had received a new toy.
The sleigh had been rickety when everything was old.
“This flies like a dream—and I’m not even cold!”
He rose through the air with a laugh “Ho ho ho!”
And Rudolph’s red nose lit up with a glow.
“Merry Christmas to all!” as was normal this night,
Then the elves heard him cry, “What a smooth flight!”
